When the evenings start to cool and the leaves outside glow like amber glass, I find myself craving slower nights at home, the kind where you don’t rush dinner or check the clock, you just exist in the quiet warmth of fall. I pour a glass of wine, light a candle, and let the calm settle in.
Right beside me, my cat has their own little ritual. While I pour my wine, I pour a bit of Merrick Bone Broth into a tiny wine glass, yes, their very own. And my dog? They get theirs in a cozy bowl at my feet, eagerly lapping up each warm sip. What started as a cute idea one chilly evening has become one of my favorite parts of fall.
We sit together in that quiet, golden light, my cat sipping, my dog happily slurping, and me with my glass of wine. The world outside hums with that November stillness, and inside, we’ve created our own little moment of calm.
There’s something grounding about it, a quiet connection, a reminder that comfort doesn’t have to be grand. Sometimes it’s a soft blanket, a flickering candle, and your pets enjoying their broth while you sip your wine.
It’s our way to “wine down” the day. A small ritual that feels perfectly fall, perfectly home, and perfectly us.
