If I had any advice it would be to plan early. Depending on how you plan to travel (car or plane) there maybe extra requirements to complete before heading to your new base. When I moved from Europe I had to get paperwork from the vet a few days prior to the flight clearing our pet to fly. Luckily they squeezed us in for a last minute appointment, I couldn’t imagine leaving our pet behind.
