We moved to England during the summer of 2021, and to this day my husband and I both agree the HARDEST part of the move was…
How we could get our cats over?!?
We tried every option to which one included planes trains and automobiles 🤣 It was an absolute nightmare, especially since England does not allow any animal in cabin when flying over. We also have a cat who is deemed “snubbed nose” and therefore many airlines wouldn’t even fly them, oh and not to mention the heat embargo’s during the summer months… there was no easy way. I have anxiety just thinking about it 🤣
Long story short we wound up having to spend THOUSANDS of dollars to get the cats over, by using a private pet shipper. It was so expensive but they are part of the family so what are you going to do about it?
I’m optimistic the way back to the states will be easier as cats can be in cabin, & I’m hopeful of the new bill being passed to help military families with the cost of relocating pets!
What’s your PCS cat story?
Easy? Hard? Expensive? Please share :)
